Based in Luton
BRCC is seeking an experienced professional to manage a horticulture enterprise, based at a glasshouse at the Stockwood Discovery Centre, and supervise the voluntary and paid workforce.
BRCC has recently started a new project called The Bridge, which aims to bridge the gap that people managing drug and alcohol problems in Luton face to finding work, enabling them to achieve independence, self-confidence and economic well-being. The Bridge will set up three linked social enterprises in Luton to provide training, volunteering and employment opportunities for users – as well as the horticulture business there will be a shop/café and a Food Hub.
To succeed in this role you will need experience of managing a horticulture business on a commercial basis, a range of interpersonal and organisational skills, and a strong commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people.
