Outdoor play
We have joined together with other RCC's in the east of England to undertake a regional Rural Playing Field Project. The project aims to increase knowledge and capacity within playing field management committees and to highlight the contribution playing fields can make to health and well being. Working with others we will:- Undertake an audit examining the ownership, management structure, number, acreage and distribution of playing fields and community sports pavilions in each county
- Collate data into regional databank for use in influencing and campaigning and produce a summary report on the findings within each county relating the information to local strategic objectives and priorities.
- Identify the specific needs of playing fields management committees and tailor support and training in response.
- Explore potential and scope alternatives for increasing use of facilities and viability for financing sustainable growth in capacity of County Playing Fields Associations or equivalents within Rural Community Councils.
