BRCC helps to establish a new Local Nature Reserve for Stotfold Watermill…

Over the last three years BRCC has secured over £30,000 to enhance the site. Working alongside the Stotfold Mill Preservation Trust and ‘Teasel’ (The Astwick and Stotfold Environmental Link) a high quality and attractive haven for both wildlife and people has been created.

The funding has enabled tree planting and hedge laying; pond and wildflower meadow creation; boardwalk and dipping platform construction; and the installation of gates, benches and a visitor shelter.

The majority of these works were undertaken by BRCC’s own Ivel Valley Conservation Volunteers (IVCV).
