Prosperous Ponds was a two year Grantscape funded project led by BRCC in partnership with the Greensand Trust that ended in May 2011. The project has supported a wide range of work including the creation and restoration of new ponds and wet scrapes, Great Crested newt and Water Vole surveys and pond survey training for adults and children. It is hoped that the legacy of this project will be good quality ponds for the future combined with a raised level of understanding and enthusiasm for ponds and the wildlife they contain.
