Finding out about Parish Action Plans
- A field officer from Beds RCC can attend a Parish Council meeting or open meeting to give a presentation on Parish Action Plans.

- Copies of completed Parish Plans can be obtained from your RCC field officer or they can be viewed on the Bedfordshire Rural Affairs Forum website by clicking here completed plan index
- BRCC may also be able to put you in touch with an existing Parish Action Plan Steering Group so that you can hear about their experiences first hand.
Informing the community
The first step is to inform everyone in the community that you ahve decided to do a Parish Action Plan and ask for volunteers to get involved.This could be achieved by using one or a combination of the following methods:
- Article in the parish magazine
- A flier through everybody’s door
- Letter to existing community groups
- Information on parish notice boards
- Information on the parish website
- Open meeting
This could be achieved by using one of the following methods:
- A few general questions on the bottom of the fliers with the request that they are returned to a suggestion box
- Flip chart / post it note exercise at the open meeting
