In the first few meetings the steering group will probably wnat to set a timescale, consider the costs invovled and decide what consultation methods will be used.
Timescale:
A parish Plan takes betewwn 12 and 18 months to complete depending on the size of the parish and the consultation methods that you chose to use. It may be usefull to set out an outline plan with some targets to help maintin momentum throughout the project.Funding:

Involving the community:
- The Steering Group will decide on the methods that will be used to ask the community their views.
- There are a number of different ways of involving as many people as possible, not everyone is comfortable attending and open meeting whilst others may not be confortable completing a questionnaire.
- Using a combination of methods will help you to achieve a high level of involvement in the Parish Plan.
Keeping everyone informed:
- It is important to keep the community updated throughout the Parish Plan process, you may opt to use the parish magazine, fliers, parish notice boards or the parish website.
- It is also important to keep the Parish Council informed, it may be possible to report back to each Parish Council meeting.
